Jeffrey M. Simon is an accomplished professional with years of experience as a leading legal recruiter and search consultant. His legal background as an experienced business and litigation attorney has been of great value in the continued success of his consulting practice. Through the years, he has worked closely with associate, partner level, and corporate attorneys and has consulted extensively with law firm management, section heads, recruitment attorneys, corporate legal departments and their professional staff in regard to their lateral hiring and practice development needs. He previously spent three years as a recruiter and search consultant with an established legal search and consulting firm before forming River West Consultants, Ltd. in 1990. Mr. Simon is a 1975 graduate of the DePaul University College of Law, Dean's List. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with High Honors, from the University of Illinois, where he was named an Edmund J. James Scholar and admitted to membership in the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi scholastic honorary societies. Mr. Simon is a member of the Illinois Bar. He is active in various bar associations and has appeared as a featured speaker before both the Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations among others. He is a member and past Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association's Committee on Law Office Management and Economics and is the Editor of the Committee newsletter. Additionally, for nearly a decade, Mr. Simon was a member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago and twice served as Chair of its Board Development Committee. Pamela J. Simon has an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education from Loyola University of Chicago and a B.S. in Special Education from Drake University. Ms. Simon uses her extensive background in recruiting, human resources and marketing to consult with clients in the areas of professional hiring, compensation structure, diversity training and marketing. Prior to her entrance into the business community, she was an Assistant Dean of Students at Northwestern University. In 1979, she joined the First National Bank of Chicago (now JPMorgan Chase) as Manager of Professional and Executive Recruitment, supervising the hiring of over 1,000 professionals per year. Additionally, in the course of her career at First Chicago, she was responsible for marketing investment, banking and trust services to high net-worth individuals. While there, she was named head of marketing for a private banking center and worked closely with numerous attorneys and financial advisors to provide appropriate services for their clients. After leaving First Chicago, in 1989, she joined an established executive search firm, as Manager of Recruitment for Financial Services, before forming River West Consultants, Ltd. in 1990. Mark R. Zito is a former commercial litigator. Before joining River West Consultants he was an associate at Ungaretti & Harris LLP and Dykema Gossett PLLC. During his time as a practicing litigator, Mark was very involved in the interviewing process as well as the summer clerk programs at those firms. Mark received his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law with distinction in 1998. He received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 1994. Julie Lehrman began her career as a commercial litigator at Shea and Gardner, a well-known litigation boutique in Washington, DC (now Goodwin Procter LLC ), before going in-house with the National Treasury Employees Union as an appellate labor litigator. Upon moving to Chicago, she joined the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie in the labor and employment group.
Julie received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 2000, where she served as a senior editor on Georgetown's law review. She served judicial clerkships on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts in French and Comparative Literature from Washington University in 1993.
